Ali's Hair Cuts
Ali cut her hair last week because it was, "tickling my face". It wasn't too bad and I love her hair, so I decided to just hide it. Every time I looked at her this week though, she was missing more hair until last night when I found another wad of hair on the ground I knew it was time to cut it. It was looking pretty mangy. I know, "why does she not take away the scissors?" you ask in an incredulous tone. It is because I know that using scissors is an important fine motor skill needed in a child's development. I want them to have access to scissors. Plus, Lydia would be crippled without her full crafting capabilities. Anyway, it is a cute style on her and of course she still looks adorable, but I will miss her long wavy locks. Here is her cute new do.

Soldier Hollow
This past Saturday was a free day of cross country skiing or snow shoeing at Soldier Hollow. It was the Olympic venue for the cross country ski events for the 2002 Olympics, so they are nice facilities. We thought we would go snow shoeing, but the girls wanted to try the skiing. We also went with my cousin and her girls that are close to my girls in age. This cousin lives very close to Soldier Hollow. We got all outfitted and then someone showed us how to do it, and let us practice on some practice tracks.
Lydia LOVED it. She did very well and had no problem manuvering where she wanted to go. Ali liked it at first, but she tired of it after a while, and Tim tired of towing her along. Bryant was strapped in the snuggly, and he slept most of the time. We would love to make it an annual event.
We had a blast! Have you ever been cross country skiing?

He's a Pedersen!
After spending a little time with the Pedersens, you quickly notice that they LOVE having their head scratched. It isn't just Tim, most of his siblings as well as many of his nieces and nephews are this way. Don't get me wrong, I like having my head scratched too, but not like they do. So, a little while ago I started to scratch Bryant's head and I noticed he seemed to like it. One time I tried it while he was a little fussy and he immediately stopped crying. Now I use it to help calm him down. This is how he looks when I scratch his head!

Ahhhhhhhhhhh. He's definately a Pedersen. So cute!!
