For those who aren't Twilighters, you won't know what I'm talking about. Those that are I was wondering how people felt about the Midnight Sun leak and subsequent posting. I was really looking forward to Midnight Sun and understanding Edward better. The chapter that had been posted was very good and I wanted more. When it was leaked and Stephenie Meyer said she was no longer going to finish it, I was sad. After reading it and feeling like it was left hanging was so disappointing. Especially because it ends just before the really good scenes like the meadow and the whole James thing. I was glad to get the 12 chapters she wrote and I am a bigger Edward fan than before (if that is possible), but I want more. A curse on the one who leaked it! So, how do the rest of you feel about it? If you haven't heard about the leak, you can find the link to the book at stepheniemeyer.com It is 265 pages long. I for one hope she can get past her disappointment enough one day to finish it. Midnight Sun was my favorite of the entire saga. We still have the movie to look forward to. I heard she used Midnight Sun to help inspire Rob Pattinson for his scenes. November 21st!!
I hadn't heard about this. It's awful! I hope she gets over her disappointment someday also.

ReplyDeleteI think she will finish it...she's too close to the project to let it go that simply. And the good news is they know who leaked it!
That's weird that she decided not finish it because of that. I still need to read what she has up. I've only read the first chapter so far.
ReplyDeleteWell, I too read all 260 pages (or however many there are) on her site and LOVED every minute! I so love hearing the story from the other side, it's SO great. I actually think she will finish the book. Maybe I was too positive while reading her statement about it, but it seemed very positive to me - like she is going to put it off for a bit, but that she will finish it someday. I'm ok with that!

ReplyDeletewow that really sucks, I had no idea that happened. That person is a jerk whoever leaked it. I do hope she finishes it someday. I was hoping for one more Edward Fix after Breaking Dawn. At least there is the movie. Love Audra
ReplyDeleteI'm holding out hope that she will finish it!! It was so great to see things from Edward's perspective and to finally see what it is about Bella that draws him in. The mystery has been resolved!!
ReplyDeleteFirst time reader/commentor (I don't think we know each other =) Anyway, I am so disappointed and sad, as well. I really feel like that left us dangling over a cliff! I just hold on to the two words on her blog: ON HOLD. Of course, it's preceded by indefinitely, but still...one can hope?
