Fall Break

Tim is the youngest of 8. His oldest brother visited from Portland with his family this week. These two may be 15 years apart in age, but they are two peas in a pod. They just think similarly and are great friends. We love hanging out with his family despite the age differences. I enjoy talking to his wife because I feel like our lives parallel, just a few years behind. Don't they even look similar? :)

It was pretty crazy with 13 kids and 6 adults around, but fun chaos. I've already invited everyone to my house for Thanksgiving this year. I think I'm a glutton for punishment.

Lydia doesn't have school Friday and Monday. It seems torturous to me and yet she just started school a few weeks ago. What did I do with them all day during the summer?!? Part of it is I feel terrible and all I want to do is sleep. Ali's off and on with her naps lately too. What are these girls trying to do to me? They are good girls. I don't think it would be so hard if I felt decent. I hope Winter break is better.

What do you with your kids when school is out?

  1. How come you don't feel well, and you're tired all the time Angie??? Is it because you're sick, or is it something else??

  2. I have similar questions about this "sickness".

  3. We hit the zoo and science museum last week when the kids were out of school. I vary between that, shopping or just sitting around the house. They can entertain themselves if need be :)

  4. When it is rainy Missy goes to the pet store, a sure favorite for the kids and it's free! The library is a good stop too. If it's nice we like the park and this time of year the pumpkin patch!
I wish we could live close enough to have Thanksgiving with you too. Missy will have a full house too with Noelle, mom, Ryan, and Shannon coming. But at least my house is so close that sleeping arrangements make things easier.
    Love you!

  5. We never go anywhere for Thanksgiving so we've hosted it a couple times here and let me give you a tip: get good (disposable) cups and then have everyone write their names on theirs! Saves lots of trouble! :)
